Solo game creator Martin Magni tells me that Odd Bot Out is coming to iOS and Android on February 1st.It has you helping an adorable robot called Odd break out of a recycling plant it was chucked into.Odd is a little shorter than the rest of the robots, you see, not quite meeting the factory requirements. But, no matter, it has you to help it along. You'll build rockets, construct staircases and bridges, and engineer cars and robotic centipedes for Odd to ride.
What is most truly valuable is often underrated.
Hexa: Ultimate Hexagon Puzzle Game(No Ads)Originally supposed to come out in April, Color Guardians from Fair Play Labs is now available for PS Vita. Our previous coverage compared Color Guardians to a kid-friendly Ikaruga in the form of an auto-runner.In it, you change colors to pick up items of matching colors, using the three lanes to navigate through obstacles and dodge others. The simple color-matching mechanics and cartoonish look makes Color Guardians seem like a good game for younger kids.Based on the trailer, it also seems to have a good amount of challenge for completionists. You can purchase Color Guardians on the PlayStation Store now.
By how much of me their reproach contains. After a sensationally positive reception on Steam, Wadjet Eye Games announced that Primordia would be coming to iOS. Well, today is that day as it's finally launched for £3.99/$4.99.Primordia is set in a distant future, as the ruined world heaves with robots. With not a single human in sight Horatio, a curious robot, and his sarcastic friend set out to discover the truth of what happened to the humans, where he came from, and what part he had in their disappearance. This is a fairly classic point-and-click game with a gorgeous pseudo-pixel art style and a truly brilliant feel to it. Mixed between story, character, and puzzles that rely on logic rather than just hoping for the best, Primordia is a nice addition to those who love story-driven games.Grab it here on the App Store for £3.99/$4.99, and enjoy on your iPad or iPhone.

Just look at the hype surrounding Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, which will let you be your own custom character and live a full school life at the school.Sweet, right? Well, Jam City dropped a new trailer for the game yesterday, and the reaction so far has been, well, mixed to say the least. On the one hand, Twitter has been ablaze with hyperbole as expectant fans clamour for a release:WHAT UGYVGsgvuvguswvvu8 I NEED THIS RIGHT NOW— Jess | Shawn? (@JessicaxLamb) March 2, 2018 Hogwarts Mystery game is going to consume my life wow amazing— Mon Petit (@slamcef) March 2, 2018I’m so excited for this Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery game! ??? I’m ready to live my Slytherin lifestyle ?? and live in my room, or should I say Slytherin dorm literally for forever. @HogwartsMystery— ???????????? ?? (@HarmanPadda_) March 2, 2018And to be fair to them, that trailer does have a lot going for it. We found at least five cool things teased within, including the fact that you can choose your own House, and might even get into some romantic entanglements. But not everyone is a fan of the fact that the Sorting Hat is taking a backseat role this time around:My only issue with the new #HarryPotter mobile game @HogwartsMystery a player should not be able to choose their house. What ever happened to getting a proper sorting!?— Mr. Moe (@MunsterMoe) March 2, 2018 Others took issue with the free-to-play trappings, in particular the energy system:My only complaint about @HogwartsMystery is the STUPID ENERGY SYSTEM!! I'd like to be able to finish a task without waiting for energy pls?! Thanks! Other than that, great!— Kayla (@AcousticArtist1) March 2, 2018 And some fans have already got their hands on the game, though they don't have particularly nice things to say about it:everyone hyping harry potter:hogwarts mystery is gonna be so disappointed IT WAS SO BAD I DIDNT EVEN FINISH THE FIRST YEAR ASDFGHJKL it was nothing like what we wanted— Minh!1!1 (@minhnimumpoint) March 2, 2018Got into the beta test for HP Hogwarts Mystery btw and it's so awfully dull. I've seen fanmade games that were way better. 50% hype, 20% energy system, 20% bad OCs and 10% just trying to make some cash off the franchise— Ren (@alcoholicrevo) March 1, 2018 Of course, any free-to-play game using a big brand is bound to have its detractors, so there's still a chance that it won't be as bad as some people are saying… right?Ultimately, it looks like Twitter user Gabriel Bergmoser has summed up the entire game in just one sentence:Well, that Hogwarts Mystery game looks straight up atrocious and I'm straight up downloading it.— Gabriel Bergmoser (@gobergmoser) March 2, 2018 Ah well. We won't know for sure how good the game is until it actually launches, so keep an eye out for our own opinions in the near future.Of course, Harry Potter fans can also look forward to Harry Potter: Wizards Unite launching at some point this year, which will provide a Pokemon GO spin on the magical franchise. Is it really wise to release two games using the same huge franchise in one year? Well, we think it could be.
