Game introduction

Having said goodbye to Carcassonne recently TheCodingMonkeys have returned with an interesting sounding new game called MonkeyBox #1: Polarized that makes use of your phone's camera to progress the story. It's available now for iOS as a premium title following its launch last Friday. It marks the first entry into TheCodingMonkey's new MonkeyBox series that will focus more on experimental, shorter experiences. They're hoping to bring a variety of interesting concepts to the table that demonstrates everything that mobile games are capable of achieving. It's certainly a very cool idea and I'm intrigued to see what other games and ideas they'll come up with in future. With Polarized you will be taking pictures of objects in the real world so that they can be utilised in the story itself. So if the protagonist Clara is need of a ladder, you can get her one by snapping a picture of one in the real world.Similarly, she might be feeling a tad parched, so taking a picture of a drink will allow her to quench her thirst. It's all powered using iOS Machine Learning capabilities and image recognition, hence why it's only available for Apple devices. I'm very interested to see how well this works. The story itself will see players trying to solve the mystery of what happened to Clara one wintry night in December. She doesn't quite remember - or at least doesn't want to reveal all the details - everything that took place so you'll be snapping pictures of various objects to help uncover the whole story. It plays out through sections of text describing Clara's actions with images that are represented by Polaroids. Each time you take a photo it will then progress the story a little further whilst providing a little description of what happens next.Polarized is available now over on the App Store. It's a premium title that costs $0.99.Sometimes great games can slip under the radar, here are 5 games you might have missed in 2019

2、Hardcore roguelike Dungeon of the Endless has been out for almost a year on PC, and developer Amplitude Studios has just announced that it's coming to iPad this summer. This much-celebrated genre mash-up channels FTL, XCOM, and tower defence. It sees you crash-landing on a hostile alien planet and attempting to escape through a 12-storey dungeon, room by randomly generated room, gathering resources, deploying towers, and dying. The PC version of Dungeon of the Endless received critical acclaim (79 on Metacritic if you must know) thanks to its challenging, expansive, and well-balanced tactical gameplay.Like FTL, it's a good candidate for an iPad port thanks to its touchscreen-friendly interface, and the iPad version will come with the Deep Freeze and Bookworm PC add-ons too. There's no word yet on an exact release date or price, but we have of course made enquiries. We'll be bringing you hands-on impressions from Gamescom next week.Best MOD APKIf you're looking for another CCG to sink your teeth into, The Elder Scrolls: Legends has finally released on iPad.

4、Hey, remember that game show version of Candy Crush we talked about last year? Well, it's still happening, and kids from the 80s/90s might recognise its host.Late last week it was announced that Mario Lopez had been named as the upcoming CBS show's host. Though, some of you may remember him as A.C. Slater, the guy we all had a crush on, from Saved By the Bell.Candy Crush is the first ever game show inspired by a popular mobile game, and Lopez says he's pretty stoked to be a part of it. "As a player, I'm excited to step into the real life Candy Crush Arena."Where Candy Crush Saga is a colourful match-three game, the game show will certainly be more physical as teams of two use their wits and physical ability to compete on huge, interactive game boards featuring next-generation technology.Apparently teams will use their entire bodies to slide, slip, swing, and swipe to make matches, and dominate the game.Candy Crush will air July 9th 2017 on CBS, 9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT.
